Crys Roeder
Crys fell in love with Pilates over nine years ago while taking mat classes at the Lake Norman YMCA. As an avid hiker, trail runner and group fitness "junkie" she went from being a Pilates student to a Pilates instructor about three years ago. Crys graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Commercial Art/Art Marketing and Production and began a career in advertising. She then switched gears and started teaching students on the college level. After having her second child in her 40's, Crys realized how beneficial her Pilates classes had been in during childbirth and throughout the recovery process after her pregnancy. Knowing the benefits of Pilates, her love for teaching and fitness finally came together when she became Mat Certified through Spin Pilates. Challenging herself to further her knowledge and skills, Crys most recently completed training through Balanced Body University. Working with a variety of clients from college students to seniors, she is focused on bringing awareness to people, including herself, a better understanding of how important Pilates can be to people's bodies and well being.
